Brandon Lagaert

Brandon Lagaert ha creato il suo stile artistico lavorando per la compagnia di teatro-danza di fama internazionale Peeping Tom come performer multidisciplinare negli spettacoli "Vader", "Moeder", "Kind", "Dido & Aeneas" e "La Visita".
Come performer Lagaert combina elementi provenienti da diverse discipline come la danza urbana e contemporanea, il teatro e il cinema in uno stile unico.
Come regista parte spesso dalla prospettiva di un interprete per gettare una certa base prima di affrontare la struttura complessiva. Lo fa sotto il nome della sua compagnia KAIHO, di cui le pluripremiate performance "Subdued" e "Mondo Fuso" sono state parte integrante.
Nel 2019 Brandon ha creato lo spettacolo "Doggy Rugburn" per la compagnia di danza lituana Aura che attualmente è ancora in tournée a livello nazionale. Nel 2021 è stato invitato a creare per la compagnia di danza italiana Equilibro Dinamico e nel 2022 ha creato "Next Stop" con gli studenti del dipartimento di studenti del dipartimento di mimo dell'AHK di Amsterdam.
Nel 2023 Lagaert continuerà a lavorare come coreografo su vari progetti, come un assolo serale per il clown/attore portoghese Rui Paixão e una performance per la scuola italiana Paolo Grassi.

Brandon Lagaert has mainly crafted his signature style as an artist while working for the
internationally renowned dance-theatre company Peeping Tom as a multidisciplinary performer in the pieces ‘Vader’, ‘Moeder’, ‘Kind’, ‘Dido & Aeneas’ and ‘La Visita’.
As a performer Lagaert combines elements coming from different disciplines such as urban & contemporary dance, theatre and film into a unique style. As a director he often starts from the perspective of a performer to lay down a certain foundation before tackling the overall structure. He does this under the name of his company KAIHO of which the award-winning performances 'Subdued' and 'Mondo Fuso' have been an integral part.
In 2019 Brandon created the performance ‘Doggy Rugburn’ for Lithuanian dance company Aura
which is currently still touring nationally. In 2021 he was invited to create for Italian dance
company Equilibro Dinamico and 2022 he has created 'Next Stop' with the graduating students of the Mime department of the AHK in Amsterdam.
In 2023 Lagaert will go on working as a choreographer on various projects such as an evening length solo for Portuguese clown/actor Rui Paixão and a performance for the Italian school Paolo Grassi.
